Somewhere

Absence features a lot in my work, alongside death. These things inspire me. I think about the presence of absence a lot and how to capture it in film.  I think Somewhere does that. There is a feeling of a presence but it is never seen. Absence attracts me, maybe because I can feel it in myself. It’s hard to explain but I think it is always there. Like death. It informs everything we do whether you think about it or not. This short film has all my favourite ingredients. My love of train journeys. My love of lights. My love of the sky.
